Garlic Black Pepper Aioli (with french fries)

IMG_0693blog

I DON’T FRY AT HOME! At least that’s what I tell my husband whenever he threatens to buy me a “Fry Daddy” so I can make him homemade onion rings. I’m fat enough!! We get that stuff sometimes when we go out! I’m not gonna start making it at home!! Of course, when my oldest son comes home for dinner and says “Mom, can you make homemade french fries with garlic black pepper aioli”….I can’t say no. I WON’T say no. But this recipe isn’t about the french fries. (Just cut up a couple of potatoes, soak them in cold water for an hour or two, drain them and pat them dry. Now fry them for 5 minutes…drain on paper towels. Then turn up the heat and fry them again!!) It’s all about the aioli…GARLIC BLACK PEPPER AIOLI. I think my son would eat just about anything if it said “aioli” at the end of it. While I’ve always been a big fan of ketchup for fry dipping, I have to admit…this stuff is pretty good. Actually, it’s REALLY good! It would be good on other stuff, too…like breaded fish fillets or maybe a roast beef sandwich, or anything else that would taste good with a garlicky sauce on it. So next time you’re making french fries at home, give this a try. I think you’ll like it.

1 Tbls. Garlic, minced and mashed into a paste
